How to Apply

Membership is open to retirees, and surviving spouses of retirees, from the 24 Ontario Colleges and/or retirees from other organizations whose pension benefits are managed by the CAAT Pension Plan.

Retirees who wish to join OCRA will be required to complete a membership application form and pay the applicable fee.

Membership Application and Payment

Step 1: Complete the Membership Application Form

Online

Complete and submit the secure online membership application form.

Email

Download, print and complete the mail-in membership application form (PDF). Scan the completed form and attach it to an email addressed to . In the subject line, please write “New Membership Your Last Name, First Name”.

Mail

Download, print and complete the mail-in membership application form (PDF). Mail the completed form to:

Step 2: Membership Fee Payment

Annual membership $10.00 CAD, renewable at the beginning of each calendar year.
Surviving spouse membership $10.00 CAD, for the spouse of a deceased member wishing to continue his/her membership, renewable at the beginning of each calendar year. Upon request, the lifetime membership of a deceased member is transferable to the surviving spouse.
Lifetime membership (refer to table). The OCRA Lifetime Membership is for the lifetime of the individual and is not refundable.

Payment Methods

You have two choices for paying the membership fee:

1)   Cheque/Money Order

Please make the cheque or money order payable to OCRA.

Include on the cheque in the note area:
For annual membership – Last Name, First Name (for new membership, add “NEW”).
For surviving spouse membership – Last Name, First Name and name of the deceased member (for new membership, add “NEW”).
For lifetime membership – Last Name, First Name and your age as of December 31 of the current year (for new membership, add “NEW”).

2)   Interac e-Transfer

Please set up the Interac e-Transfer for . Follow your online banking instructions. Auto deposit is set up so you will not be required to input a security question.

Include in the Interac e-Transfer message box:
For annual membership – Last Name, First Name (for new membership, add “NEW”).
For surviving spouse membership – Last Name, First Name and name of the deceased member (for new membership, add “NEW”).
For lifetime membership – Last Name, First Name and your age as of December 31 of the current year (for new membership, add “NEW”).
