Ontario College Retirees
Colleges Ontario
Colleges Ontario is an association that represents and promotes the 24 Ontario Colleges. For Ontario College retirees who are interested in staying connected to what is happening in the Ontario College system, Colleges Ontario publishes news and a newsletter as well as research about higher education and training.
Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA)
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is an independent regulatory agency that, in June 2019, assumed regulatory functions previously delivered by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. With regard to pension plans, the FSRA’s objective is to promote good administration of pension plans, and to protect and safeguard the pension benefits and rights of pension plan beneficiaries. FSRA has a news section for various sectors it oversees, including pensions.
Ontario College Administrators Network (OCASA)
OCASA promotes the interests and needs of the province’s college administrators. Administrative retirees who are active OCASA members at the time of retirement may become an OCASA retiree member. Membership includes complimentary copy of the semi-annual magazine, College Administrator, and a member discount to the annual conference.
Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU)
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) represents, among others, faculty and support staff working at Ontario’s 24 community colleges. Retired OPSEU members can continue their connection by joining the Retired Members Division. Members are provided the opportunity to continue participating in OPSEU activities, take advantage of member discounts programs and receive the quarterly newsletter, Autumn View.
